Attendees Participants: There were around 22 participants, including researchers, policymakers / decision-makers, implementers and civil society groups, and funders:
• Ministry of Health (National institute of public health, department of Primary Health Care, National Observatory of Emerged and New Diseases, Department of medical research…)
• Faculty of Medicine, Ministry of high education and scientific research, Ministry of social affairs, Center of research on social security, National Fund of health insurance, National Fund of social security, National Institute of statistics , NGOs involved in health research, UNDP Tunisia .

Objectives:
The meeting aimed to specifically identify ways in which current resources can be optimized through better coordination of HPSR. Others purposes of the meeting were to:
-    introduce HPSR to different stakeholders;
-    understand what the challenges are in evidence-informed policy;
-    Identify opportunities to promote HPSR, as well as to improve the research to policy interface.

There were 5 sessions (panel discussion, working groups , presentations and discussions ):
Session 1: Defining Health Policy and Systems Research, its benefits and its potential, including its use for policy and actions.
Session 2: Overview of the health system priorities in the country and the type of research done to address those priorities (or not) , and how it is used (or not)
Session 3: Identifying challenges of evidence-informed policy and priority areas that can be addressed by HPSR
Session 4: Identifying research gaps and opportunities that exist to promote evidence-informed policy
Session 5: How can better coordination lead to optimizing the use of current resources for HPSR
